Aki Kaijo, aka Sailor Mermaid, senses the presence of a demon. Aki braces herself. But then, she is suddenly attacked from a completely different direction. The one who attacked her was Kanie, a serial woman-beater. Kanie mutters to Aki, "I'll take good care of you," but Aki gradually cools down. However, Aki gradually regains her composure and fights off Kanie. Kanie, who thought that Aki was a weak girl, was stunned when she was thrown away. At that moment, the demon Planta appears. Aki tries to transform into Sailor Mermaid, but is unable to do so because Kanie is there, cowed by the demon's appearance, and is hurt by it. Aki desperately resists and manages to free Kanie, who transforms into Sailor Mermaid and fights back. Sailor Mermaid overpowers the demon Planta. She then uses her special move, the "Blue Aqua Beam," to defeat the demon. At that moment, however, Sailor Mermaid is attacked by vines from the demon world, and her body is restrained. Planta, whom she thought she had defeated, is a plant demon. Sailor Mermaid's water attacks had no effect on Planta, a plant demon!
