In the fall of 1958, the year the Anti-Prostitution Law was enacted, a woman came to a nunnery deep in the mountains of Hyogo Prefecture. In order to pay off the debt left by her late husband, she left her young son at the temple and sold herself to the Yoshiwara brothels, where she was freed by the enforcement of the Anti-Prostitution Law. She decides to become a nun at the temple where her son practices, but what awaits her is the evil desire of the Buddhist monks. The film also includes 20 other short dramas, including a tale of a prostitute and a mature prostitute who is involved with customers in a brothel in Susaki, and a story of a widow from the Showa and Heisei eras.
